New Progress in Mazomaine Bluff Park

When WisCorps was invited to explore a potential partnership, the first step was getting boots on the ground. An initial assessment of the Bluff Trail system revealed both challenges and opportunities—steep, eroded sections, outdated routes, and trail segments in need of thoughtful rehabilitation.

From there, WisCorps began shaping a plan to restore and reimagine the Bluff trail. By flagging key work areas along the White and Orange segments, the team designed a multi-week project focused on reroutes, structural improvements, brushing, and sustainable trail building techniques like c-steps. With input from WisCorps leadership and field staff, the final scope of work took shape—laying the groundwork for a safer, more accessible trail system that would better serve the community for years to come.
