Individual Placement Members may do the following during their term: researching, maintaining and cultivating community gardens, environmental education, technical fieldwork, and volunteer mobilization.

 

All positions are supported and mentored by WisCorps Staff and Placement Site Staff.

Full-time, Temporary (3-12 months)

Compensation & Benefits:

$460 – $500 weekly living stipend

Room & board are provided at some locations

$125 per week housing allowance if housing is not offered

$1,900 – $7,396 Education Award

What is the Individual Placement Program?

The Individual Placement Program connects our partner organizations (host sites) with conservation professionals who want to enter the field and serve their communities.

 

Our Members are placed at host sites, assisting with natural resource conservation, capacity-building projects, and environmental education programs.

  • Biweekly Compensation -$460-500 per week
  • Room & board are provided at some locations
  • If housing is not offered, member will receive a $125 per week living allowance
  • Various certification are required or offered (see position descriptions for more information)
  • Housing—WisCorps and Placement Sites are not required to provide Member housing, however Placement Sites are allowed to provide housing accommodation if they have the means and/or infrastructure to do so.
  • If housing is not offered, the member will receive a $125 per week housing allowance
  • Food – WisCorps and Placement Sites are not required to provide Member meals or a food budget. Placement sites are allowed to provide meals should this be built into their program offerings.

Assuming the Member serves 40 hours per week, they will have the ability to take some time off, mostly for sick and pre-approved vacation time. All planned Member time off should be cleared by both the Placement Site and WisCorps.
