The Ridges Sanctuary is seeking a motivated individual to join its education team. Responsibilities include developing and leading educational programs, leading guided hikes for adults and families, and assisting visitors at the Nature Center and on the trails. Additional duties include conducting ecological research and land management activities, as well as completing a personal project of interest.

Crew Leaders guide and motivate Crew Members in high-priority conservation projects across Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest as part of the WisCorps Crew Program. Each crew typically consists of two Crew Leaders and three to four Crew Members who live and serve together, fostering a close-knit community focused on service and teamwork. Crews may relocate weekly or stay at a site for several weeks, living in tents or shared housing.

Crew Members work on important conservation projects in the Upper Midwest, collaborating with agencies and nonprofits on habitat restoration, invasive species removal, and trail construction. Crews, usually made up of two Crew Leaders and three to four members, live and share responsibilities together. They may move weekly or stay longer at a site, also participating in community outreach and environmental education. This role offers valuable experience, fosters connections, and supports meaningful conservation efforts.

Sustainability Education Assistant

Support FSPA’s commitment to caring for the Earth by helping restore native ecosystems on FSPA grounds. This involves maintaining and improving the greenhouse and gardens, engaging the community in educational programs, and generally aiding FSPA ministries focused on integral ecology

Education and Conservation Specialist

This position involves leading environmental lessons and serving as a land steward for Blackhawk Island. The individual will strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all groups they encounter. This unique and varied role offers the opportunity to develop a diverse set of skills.
