WisCorps WIOA Program


The WisCorps WIOA program offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to help you pursue 

your career and educational goals AND help out your community!  Through paid work experience and classroom style training, eligible participants learn skills that will help them to become future leaders in Wisconsin’s workforce.wiscorps_wioa_photo

The WIOA program provides young adults with employment and jobs skills training in eight western Wisconsin counties:  Buffalo, Trempealeau, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Juneau, Vernon, & Crawford.  

WisCorps WIOA participants receive certification training and on the job training.  In addition, WIOA program staff will help you to develop your resume, write a compelling cover letter, and practice interviewing skills that will help you to land your next job!

Work Experiences

WisCorps WIOA participants may have the opportunity to participate on a WisCorps WIOA work experience, where they can earn money while completing projects that help out their communities!

Classroom Style Training

WisCorps also offers a classroom style training program to help you fine tune your skills and learn about a variety of topics including Job Search, Goal Setting, Leadership and many more!

Specific training/certifications can include:

  • Career Skills (Resume Writing, Job Search, Interviewing)
  • Customer Service
  • Getting (and staying) Hired
  • Financial Literacy

Support Services

Through the WIOA program, you will be paired with a WisCorps Career Planner who will help you on your career path, as well as to provide support services that can help you to overcome barriers to employment.  

Specific support services can include:

  • Help with vehicle repairs
  • Interview and work clothing
  • Dependent care
  • Emergency assistance
  • College application and testing fees
  • Transportation assistance


Participants in the WisCorps WIOA program must meet all eligibility requirements for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act program.  Apply online using the button below and a WisCorps Career Planner will follow up with you to help determine if you are eligible for the program and to talk about the options that are available.
